All I see you as is a mighty God that I should fall on my face before in reverence. Not as a God that has more thoughts concerning me than the grains of sand (Psalm 139:17-18). How can you be both equally? I know in my head that your character is endless and that you are both holy and humble, but in my heart I only think of one. Help me see you as a God that protects me with your army (psalm 34:7, psalm 91:11, Luke 4:10). How can you be a father that says I am your beloved (Jeremiah 31:3) and at the same time a master and savior whom I have the honor to behold (Romans 14:7-9)? How can you be The Creator and King that all creation groans for (Nehemiah 9:6) (Romans 8:22) and at the same time a friend that’s knows my name and delights in me (Isaiah 43:1) (Zephaniah 3:17)? Delights in me… how could you, the God of all that is holy and good, delight in me? Lord help me see that you have created me to reflect you (genesis 1:27)… that the best parts of me are bits of the character you possess. How can you be so mighty and so gentle at the same time? Lord help me renew my mind to see you as a father who loves me.

So be it.

Above was a prayer I wrote in my journal before I left for this trip. I read back over the prayer today (06.20.2021) and went through it to insert the scriptures that God has already spoken over me.
