“Through this journey of fundraising and going on the mission trip itself, I am eager to experience truly resting on the Lord to provide provisions for me. I am excited to put myself out of my comfort zone to the point where he is my only sense of familiarity. He says His will will be done, and if His will is for me to spread the gospel by these means, I have Faith in my God that my paths will be made straight.” This was something I wrote in my journal on March 19th. On the same day I committed to the Costa Rica and Guatemala semesters trip. I had a deadline by March 29th to raise 50% of my total amount. When I was taking my first steps to fundraise, I was praying and asking God if he would help me raise half of that 50%. God sat me down and essentially said “watch what I can do”. He has raised over the halfway benchmark in less than 10 days. (Today is March 27th and not all of the money has been processed yet.)

My point in saying this is, even though I had faith in God that if His will was for me to go on this trip then He would provide provisions, I still put him in a box. I was trying to put The God that parted the dead sea and raised Jesus from the dead, into a box. Call me crazy and I wouldn’t even disagree with you.
